こんばんわ

少し前の事ですが、日本にいる友達のビジネスの、

ロゴデザインと名刺を作らせていただきました。

シンプルで、ある意味マッサージっぽくない、

ちょっとシュールな感じに仕上がりました。

彼の出身地大阪府の府旗で、

健康の象徴でもある瓢箪をイメージ。

とっても気にいってもらえました。

よかった〜。

でも、場所は、東京近郊なんだけど。

マッサージは、モミマス、まで。

こんばんわぁ。

２月の始めにメルボルンに戻り、

気がついたら、もう１２月っ！

元気にやっております。

友達の経営する雑貨屋さんで働きながら、

細々と活動していましたが、

そろそろ、動き出さないとねぇー。

こんばんわぁ。

先月、友達と人形劇を見に行った際の、

舞台の緞帳（幕）に描いてあった、

なんだか懐かしい、ウサギと蛙の絵。


ん～ん、見たことあるような・・・。

気になっていた矢先に、知人から、

京都国立博物館に、鳥獣人物戯画を見に行かないか、

と誘いがあった。

鳥獣人物戯画？　なにそれ？って思いながら、

調べてみたら、

はっ！

あのウサギと蛙の絵だった！


かなり知られている有名な絵みたいだけど、

そういえば、遥か昔に学校で習ったような記憶が・・・。

だって、海外生活も長いし、普段見かけないし、

すっかり忘れてたなぁ・・・。

でも、これは何かあるっ、見に行かなきゃ～！

ってんで、博物館に見に行ってきました。

４０分待ちだったけど、とっても素敵な展示でした！

実物はかなり小さくて、びっくりしたけど・・・。

そして、その帰りに、滋賀県の大津まで、

飲みに行くことになり、街をブラブラして、

偶然入ったおでん屋さんでお酒を頼んだら、

おちょこ代わりの、湯のみまでが、鳥獣戯画っ！

これは、どういうこと？

なんか描けってこと？

巻物作れってこと？

そして、昨日、図書館で借りてきた古い本を読んでたら、

またしても、鳥獣戯画の話がっ！　なぬぬぬぬっ・・・

I had a strange experience to tell you...

Last month, I went to see a puppet show with my friend and there was a huge curtain at the stage, with an illustration of rabbits and frogs playing together. (not related to the puppet show) It reminds me of my childhood.

Mmm... Maybe I've seen this before?

A few days later, I got a message from my friend to ask me out to go to Kyoto National Museum to see "Choju Jinbutsu Giga"(Scrolls of Frolicking Animals and Humans). I didn't know what it was so I googled it... and look I found out! It was the same picture I saw at the theater the other day!

Now I remember that I've seen this picture in my text book when I was at primary school... but it was many years ago and totally forgot about it. Anyway...

We went there and It was so beautiful...even we had to wait 40 mins to get in... but highly recommended!

After the museum, We went to Ootsu for dinner and we found nice Izakaya(Pub) called "Odeko" . So we stepped inside the pub and ordered a local "Sake". A few mins later, one of staffs brought the sake and started serving sake with a tea cup.

Wow it's cute cup! It's cute rabbits... and frogs!!! Again!?

This was 3rd time to see the picture within a month... I know it's quite common picture in Japan. Maybe It's just a coincidence or maybe more than a coincidence? 

Who know... 

But I believe that it's a message for me saying "I should keep drawing!" or frolicking?!

The sunset from the museum was so so beautiful...

はじめてのにがおえ

こんばんわぁ。


日本に帰国して、すでに３カ月もっ！

思ったより歯医者に時間がかかっており、

帰国するのは、来年になりそう。。。


あぁ。 早くメルボルンに帰りたい。。。


と、気分が落ち気味だった時に、友達の紹介で、

YOKE Magazineと言う雑誌に掲載される、

イラストのお仕事をさせていただきました。


なんと、Ryan Heffingtonさんのポートレート！


ん～、誰？　


名前すら聞いたことない人なんだけどぉ。。。

と思いながら調べてみたら、あらまぁ、

シガロスとか、アーケードファイアのＰＶとかで、

出演やら、振付をしている人だった！


ので、一気にテンションもあがり、楽しく描くことができました～！

Hello

It's been 3 months already and I am still in Japan...
as my dentist is so slow and it's taking so long!

So I will probably have to stay until January next year :-(

but good thing is I had a job offer through my friend, 
to do portraits illustration of Ryan Heffington,
for a magazine called YOKE Magazine.

Who is he?

So I googled him...

He is a choreographer and dance instructor who has been behind some of the music videos, such as sigur ros, Sia and Arcade Fire...


What!?

Wow That's him!

実は、密かに陶芸教室に通っております。

特に習う目的で行っている訳ではないんだけど、

Actually, I go to Ceramic Class once a week. 

I am not learning anything special but I really enjoy making, without thinking...

I made a few plates and awkward cup...

バッジを作ったり、

and also I made a few badges...

そして、今回、焼き上がりましたのが、

このイビツな子達。

and this time, I made some logs and creatures...

お皿や、バッジも含め、

いつかマーケットでお見せ出来るといいなぁ。

うれしいできごと

こんばんわぁ。

先週、友達の美容室に置いてもらっていた絵が、

なんと、２枚、売れましたっ！　

購入してくださった方、本当にありがとう。。。

よっしゃ〜、やる気が出てきた〜、って思ってたけど、

歯医者の為に、８月から長期で日本に帰る事になりました。

とほほ。

でも、日本でも時間だけはた〜っぷりあるので、

このモチベーションを維持したまま、

色々と描いたり、作ったりしたいと思っております。

がんばるよ〜ん！ぼよ〜ん！

I have two things to tell you...

Last week, Two of my drawings at "chichi hair laboratory" my friend's hair salon were sold! Yay! I am so happy about it and that made my day, week or maybe my year!? 

Thank you so much for purchasing! 

and bad news is...

I have to go back to Japan again for 2 to 3 months or maybe more...to just going to dentist! As dental cost is so expensive here in Australia...but I will have lots of free time there so I will keep creative!!!
